6th Year Chemistry Revision: Week Four

ree

As we move into Week Four of your Chemistry revision journey…

This week we shift our focus to Trends in the Periodic Table a core topic that examiners revisit again and again.

Understanding trends like atomic radius, ionisation energy, and electronegativity is essential, not only for direct questions but also for linking into bonding, reactivity, and later topics like acids and bases.

👉 This is one of the most high-yield chapters: it appears in Q5.

Each week you’ll still get:

• A confidence checklist to track your progress

• The key topics you need to cover

• Exam-style questions to test your understanding

💡 Examiner tip: Examiners love to push students on exceptions to trends (like Be → B and N → O). If you can explain why these happen, you’ll stand out.

Stay consistent 💪 every step you take now will make you more exam-ready later. Stick with the plan, and you’ll see these abstract trends become second nature.
